Our Terminal Renovation & Expansion Project is underway with $72 million worth of upgrades
coming to MLB to enhance the customer experience for our passengers, customers and community.
The project includes the addition of 86,000 square feet of new facilities, plus improvements to existing areas,
and we're here to tell you all about it.

In November 2019, the world's leading holiday company and the UK's number one holiday provider, TUI, announced MLB as the new gateway for all its UK customers traveling to Central Florida beginning in March 2022. This historic announcement provided MLB the catalyst it needed to undertake the Terminal Renovation and Expansion Project we see today.
MLB anticipates 150,000 arriving international visitors in the first year with the opportunity for growth. TUI's two to three daily transatlantic flights will be operated with its 300 and 345-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
Needless to say... the British are coming and MLB is going to welcome them with an easy, seamless airport experience.

Spacious New
Departure Area
All departing domestic and international passengers will experience a new, bright, and spacious gate area showcasing a coastal casual atmosphere. The new departure area will feature new restaurant and retail options with a local flare, new furniture with charging capabilities, duty-free shopping, and more.
New Four-Lane
Security Checkpoint
MLB's brand-new four-lane security checkpoint will feature the latest technology from TSA to ensure our quick and easy departure experience stays as we grow.

Larger Operations
Three new jet bridges and a new apron will be capable of handling wide-body aircraft for large international and domestic operations.
Expanded
U.S. Customs Facility
More upgrades to MLB's U.S. Customs Federal Inspection Station will accommodate larger planeloads of arriving international customers with an expanded baggage claim, new bathrooms, and the latest technologies.
New International Arrivals Welcome Center
A new and modern Welcome Center will be just steps away from MLB's U.S. Customs Federal Inspection Station (FIS) to provide arriving international passengers with a stress-free Florida welcome with immediate access to ground transportation services.
Ticketing & Atrium
MLB's ticketing counters and central atrium area will be modernized with new furniture and updated features.
VIP Lounge
MLB's pre-security restaurant will be transformed into a VIP business lounge accessible post-security.
Fresh, Local Concessions
New food, beverage, and retail options will be available to all passengers featuring local brews, eats and gifts.
Four Sets of New Restroom Facilities
The Terminal Project includes fours sets of brand-new bathrooms facilities
throughout the terminal, including the international baggage claim, the
welcome center, next to the security checkpoint and in the new gate area.
